Description:

First airborne calibration and validation flights for the Aladin Doppler wind lidar instrument of the ESA Aeolus mission. The Aladin airborne demonstrator (A2D) and 2-micrometer wind-lidars onboard Falcon performed coordinated under-flights of the Aeolus satellite track for comparative analysis and studies on airborne calibration/validation strategies, also in combination with ground stations.
