| Description |
The High-Speed Imager (HSI), developed by Artium Technologies Inc., is an airborne in-situ probe designed to capture high-resolution images of cloud particles. It employs a multi-beam illumination system with six lasers focused into a common sample volume. Particles crossing this volume are imaged by a 1624 × 1240 pixel CMOS sensor, providing 3 µm spatial resolution with 256 grayscale levels. This approach freezes the particle images and removes sensitivity to speed and angle of trajectory through the sample volume. |
