| Description |
The Nevzorov liquid water content (LWC) and total water content (TWC) probe is a constant-temperature hot-wire instrument developed for in-situ airborne measurements of cloud water content, manufactured by SkyPhysTech Inc. The probe includes two TWC collector cones with diameters of 8 mm and 12 mm, as well as a cylindrical hot-wire for LWC measurements. Each sensor consists of a collector and a reference winding. The reference elements are shielded from cloud particle impacts to compensate convective heat loses. The sensor head is mounted on a rotatable disk that is inserted into the fuselage, allowing the sensor head to compensate for pitch changes during flight. The measurement range of the probe is from 0.025 to 3 g/m^3. |
